Fabulous occasion hair

for your special day

Why a mobile stylist versus a salon hairdresser ? Working with brides and performing bridesmaid duties many times, I have found time is precious on the morning of your big day. Brides can be nervous and stressed on the morning. Having to leave your home or venue to drive to a salon, possibly encountering traffic and the busy atmosphere of a salon can add to this. Being in the comfort of your own home or venue in your dressing gown with a glass of champagne while being made to look fabulous also gives the opportunity for photographers to take those lovely preparation/getting ready photos. This makes the wedding morning experience a lot more relaxed and enjoyable. When should I book my wedding day hair and trial? As soon as you like. I take bookings up to a year in advance. Trials can start as soon as you have your dresses so we can start to build your look. You want to feel calm knowing your hair is going to look as fabulous as you wanted - I'd suggest between 9 and 3 months before the wedding. Do I need a trial? I strongly recommend a trial for many reasons. This is the perfect opportunity to meet myself, trial and discuss the styles and looks you've been dreaming about, see the results, how long they take to create, and how long they last. these are all best established before the morning of your wedding, you'll feel calm and relaxed on the day knowing that your hair will be exactly as you want it. I'm not really sure what accessories i need? This is common. Sometimes you need to find a style you love first before you buy the hair accessories. Sometimes buying them before you are sure of your hair style will limit your options. For example, curved/rounded hair jewellery that will only be fitting for a bun, or a veil that will not attach well if you decide on fully down free flowing boho waves. If you are not sure I can help you with this during the trial phase, giving you options with each style. Will you want to see the dresses? Only if you are comfortable with this. It will give me an insight of the look you want to achieve, that way we can ensure your hair, dress and accessories perfectly come together to be a cohesive look . I have a large wedding party, will there be enough time for everyone? Trials help me to allocate enough time for each person and also give us a starting time, allowing enough time at the end for dressing and a calming breather before having to leave. Everyone's hair is different, although bridesmaids may be having the same style, it might not take the same length of time for each of them. After the trials I can write you a schedule for the morning to help things run smoothly. Do I need to pay a deposit? After your trial, if you would like to secure your date a £25 non refundable deposit for weddings, and £10 for proms is required and will be deducted from your final total. Can I pay the balance before my wedding day? Of course, it's up to you. I am happy to accept cash on the day, although most of my brides pay via bank transfer in the week leading up to their big day. It's another thing ticked off your long list of things to remember, and the last thing you want to be worrying about on the day. What areas do you cover? I mostly cover parts of Cheshire. However I am happy to travel, please see the pricing page for extra travel outside my 30 mile radius.
